Hello from Pastel airbrush makeup! Here is a bride that I did back in the fall.She used Ashleigh Dees Photography for her big day and she was so great to work with! Ashleigh came in with such a fun, spirited personality which is just what any bride needs on her wedding day! Erin was so easy to work with. I swear, all of my brides are so sweet, so easy, and so beautiful in every way. I just get lucky, I guess. :)

Hey everyone! It's Jen here ready to show you another fabulous wedding! Meet Stephanie and Ben... Is she beautiful or what!?!?! I got to experience a "first" with Stephanie... I got to her house pretty early in the morning because she was having a brunch before the ceremony. While getting some of the other girls ready, she went upstairs and exercised! Yep, she jumped right on her treadmill and ran the heck out of that thing! That is one dedicated woman... and it shows! I had to add some of her "prep" pictures because she looks amazing even with just a robe on. So jealous.

Stephanie chose black, white, and hints of green for her decor. Stunning! I really loved the detail of her black sash she wore with her wedding dress. I love it when brides bring alittle spice to their gowns! You know me, anything that makes a wedding a bit more "non-traditional", I am all in! I think one of my favorite images Brooke took was the one with all the girls in their cowgirl boots. Super cute!

Hello everyone and Happy New Year! I have been away for abit and I am super excited about being back! So, if you didn't know... I got MARRIED!! Yep, it really happened. It has been the most amazing month. We seriously have been on our honeymoon for a month now. It all ends tomorrow. Sad day. After the wedding we went to the Bahamas for a few days and lived it up. Then we came home and have been relaxing ever since. Matt has been off from school (nursing school... yep, my man's a murse) so we have really been able to enjoy just spending time together. He starts back tomorrow and I don't know what I am going to do! I have been so used to being with him all the time. It will be good though:) I can say I am very ready to start working again. Ready to get my creative juices flowin!
I really can't wait to post my wedding and all of the details that went along with it! Ah, it was gorgeous. I loved designing our wedding. I had all of these ideas in my head but wasn't really sure how it would turn out until we actually starting decorating the venue. It turned out to be way better than I had even imagined. I won't be getting my pictures back for awhile, but I will post some pictures that some friends took so you can have a sneak peak!! But I PROMISE, as soon as my wedding pictures get to me, I will give a detailed account of the most beautiful and special event EVER!!!

Meet Amber and Brian... I actually with to high school with these two and I am so excited to announce their engagement! They couldn't have picked a better weekend to do their engagement shoot. It was perfect. The leaves here in Georgia just started changing and falling and her photographer Nicole from Nicole Renee Photography caught every detail of the perfect fall day. I absolutely fell in love with the sneak peaks as soon as I laid eyes on them. The colors are so vibrant. These images make me want to curl up next to a window on a cloudy fall day with a good book, a cup of hot chai tea, and a snuggly blanket! I cannot wait to see the rest!!!

Oh my goodness, I am so excited to share this post with you! I had the opportunity to do a wedding of a wonderful friend of mine, Ashley. When her pictures came out last week, I was astonished! Number one, she is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Number two, her photographer Dan Klutz did a great job at capturing the sweetness of Chris and Ashley. They are too cute! Ashley wanted to have a more vintage look for her special day. We went with a soft smokey eye and focused on her dramatic red lip! It went perfectly with her bird caged veil. (which she purchased on Etsy... praise the Lord for Etsy, btw!) What a fun day we had getting all of the girls ready. From hair to makeup, I was really pleased with the final look. I honestly think that her hairstyle is my most favorite that I have ever done. She was absolutely stunning! Thanks Chris and Ashley for letting me be apart of your day! Praise the Lord for such a beautiful, Christ centered marriage!

Okay, I cannot say enough about this wedding I did this September. I have to honestly say that it was by far the funnest wedding, most unique wedding I have ever done and been apart of! Allow me to introduce you to the sexy Christina Nicole Brooks and her handsome hubby, Travis. I knew about Christina over a year ago after a friend of mine had interned at Christina's studio in Greenville, Sc. She is the owner/artist of Christina Nicole Studios where she handcrafts beautiful vintage jewelry into new and unique pieces. She is amazing! My friend (Allie) who was working with her said to me that she had met my new best friend and that we "had" to meet! We connected through facebook through a picture I had up of me holding a margarita. Haha... soul mates. As soon as her and Travis were engaged, she asked if I would do her wedding! I was thrilled! I couldn't wait to meet her!

She was everything I had expected her to be!! Fun, loud, bubbly, and sassy!! I knew that the day was going to be a fun-filled day! She had girls in her wedding party who loved and adored her and who took me in as their own. We had a blast! Then it was time... The ceremony begins and it is so sweet, so personal, so "them". It was perfect. Christina made everything for her wedding. That girl is crafty! From the decor, to the food, the music, the actual ceremony, it was like no other wedding I have experienced. (and it gave me lots of ideas!) American Grocery Restraunt catered the event and brought a Morrocan-Eclectic flavor to the party and it was FABULOUS!!! Let's just say that I ate my share.Keith Carson and Crystal Hart from Red Apple Tree Photography did the photography for the wedding and I cannot say enough about them! I can be a bit of a photography snob, but they freakin nailed it!! Oh my gosh! Please check them out and book them fast! Not only are they amazing photographers, but they are super nice too! The definitely captured all the best moments of this wedding and really made them special.

Makeup for the bride: Christina really wanted a "sexy-glam" look so we went with a dark purple smoky eye, long lashes with lots of mascara, a soft dewy cheek, and very nude lips. Let me just say that she looked very sexy and sultry! It was fun getting to go outside the box alittle and step away from the conservative "fresh, natural face" that most brides are looking for.

I am so excited for these two and can't wait to see Christina again now as Mrs. Travis Brooks!

Happy Thursday morning! If you know me, you know that I am happily engaged to the most amazing man in the world! Which means two things: 1) I get to be the bride and have MY makeup done for once!!! Yay! 2) I get to plan a fabulous wedding! It has been so fun creating a day that celebrates the starting of an exciting adventure with my soon to be husband Matt. We really see our wedding day as a day that first starts with what the Lord has done in both of our lives and will continue to do as we are married... for a lifetime. With that said, we want to share it with people we love and celebrate in a way that expresses our love for each other and our own unique style and aesthetic. I get so tired of going to weddings that are the same old traditional themes. No uniqueness whatsoever. Matt and I both have our own different styles which I am going to collaborate together to make one awesome party! He is alittle more classic, and I am alittle more vintage/glam. I have been making things from tissue poms to tulle tutus for the flower girls. (and will probably be making things until the day of the party!) I have gotten so much inspiration from so many websites, wedding blogs, pinterest, and of course Etsy! It seems that the "new trend" of weddings is to DIY - "do it yourself", which is right up my alley! So I wanted to start sharing some of the fabulous finds that have come my way in hopes to inspire your special event.

I am paying for most of our wedding, so we are on a VERY strict budget. Which in some cases are good because it makes me think more outside of the box. I realized very early on the weddings are so expensive! Especially when your guest list is pretty large. One of the first items on my list to purchase were invitations. I was shocked at how much people spend just on paper. I am way to practical (and cheap) to spend $250-$300 on invites. That's when I found this amazing shop on Etsy! River St. Design. They are fabulous! You pick out one of their designs, they email you the file, and you print them yourself at home. I bought ivory blank invites and envelopes at Michaels which cost me $30 for 100. That's only $60 for 200 invites!!! AMAZING! And the file only cost me $15! That is unbeleivable! I thought that it may be alittle difficult when it came to printing it at home, but it was so easy. The first file Caitlyn (River St.) sent was the wrong size for the invite I bought so she happily changed the size for me and it printed so easily! All you have to do is go into your printer options and change the size to the size of your invitation. And all of their designs are so unique and fun.
